3. How we use information
We use information to:
•
Provide, operate, and
secure the Site.
•
Create and manage accounts,
if offered.
•
Respond to questions and
provide support.
•
Send service messages, such
as confirmations and policy updates.
•
Send marketing messages if
you opt in, or where the law allows us to email existing customers about
similar products. You can opt out at any time.
•
Understand how the Site is
used and improve it.
•
Detect, prevent, and
investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
•
Comply with law and enforce
our Terms and Conditions.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar
regions)
If the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar law applies, we rely
on one or more of these bases:
•
Contract — to provide the
Site, an account, or a purchase you request.
•
Legitimate interests — to
secure and improve the Site, understand usage, and communicate about our
services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
•
Consent — for optional
cookies and for marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent
at any time.
•
Legal obligation — to meet
tax, accounting, or other legal duties.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We
share it only as described here:
•
Service providers who host
the Site, send email, process payments, provide analytics, or support customer
service, and who may use the information only to perform services for us.
•
Professional advisers, such
as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
•
Authorities, if we believe
disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and
security.
•
A buyer or successor, if we
are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We will
notify you if your information becomes subject to a different policy.
•
Other users, if you post
content that is publicly visible.
•
With your direction or
consent.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels
and local storage) to run the Site, remember preferences, understand traffic,
and, if enabled, measure advertising.
•
Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to function, such as security, load
balancing, and remembering a login or a cookie choice.
•
Functional. Remember choices such as language or region.
•
Analytics. Help us understand traffic. We use Google Analytics.
•
Advertising. Used only if we run ads. We use Meta and Google Ads.
You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking
strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site. Where the law requires
it, we will ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can
change that choice by clicking the “Consent Preference” button in the bottom
left corner of the screen.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or similar signal.
Our current response to those signals is: we do not respond to Do Not Track.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for
the purposes in this policy, including to provide the Site, meet legal, tax,
and accounting duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention
depends on the type of information and why we have it. When we no longer need
it, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical
safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission
or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please use a strong, unique password if you have an account, and contact us if
you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do
not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you
believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at info@songsburystudios.com
and we will delete it. If a higher age applies in your region (for example, 16
in parts of the EEA), use that age instead after legal review.
10. International transfers
We are based in Canada. If you access the Site from
elsewhere, your information may be processed in Canada and in other countries
where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different
data-protection laws. Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism,
such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your choices and rights
All users

You may opt out of

to legal exceptions.
•
You may control cookies as
described in section 6.

United States state privacy laws
Residents of certain states, including California,

control. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before
providing information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will
revise the effective date above and, if a change is material, provide
additional notice we consider appropriate (for example, a notice on the Site or
